The Heritage Significance of Moral Capacity Cultivation from the Perspective of Chinese Traditional Culture

Chinese traditional culture has an important characteristic which pays more attention to life and moral ethics.Through a systematic organization of insights of ancient Chinese philosophers on virtue and an elaboration about ethics,morality,and self-cultivation,this paper rethinks the contemporary significance of these broad and profound ideological ideas as well as the problem about moral capacity building,drawing a conclusion that the important heritage significance is: the debate on human nature is a basis of moral capacity cultivation;discussion on justice,benefit,principle and desire is a main theme of moral capacity cultivation;self-cultivation is a path dependent of moral capacity cultivation.
