Abstract
Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of p16INK4a and HPV16/18-E6 in different cervix tissues, and to explore the biological marker of progression and prognosis in cervix precancerosis and cancer. Methods The expressions of p16INK4a and HPV16/18-E6 of different cervix tissue were examined with immunohistochemistry methed. Results The ex-pression of p16INK4a and HPV16/18-E6 was negative or weakly positive in normal cervix tissue, chronic cervicitis tissue and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) I,respectively, and were signifi-cantly enhanced in CIN Ⅲ and cervix cancer(P0.01).The expression of p16INK4a in cervix cancer was significantly related to cell differentiation and degree of muscular layer infiltrate(P0.01).Conclusion The expression of HPV16/18-E6 is highly related to p16INK4a in CIN Ⅲ and cervix cancer. To combine detection of p16INK4a and high risk-HPV(HR-HPV) may elevate the early di-agnosis rate in CIN and cervix cancer.
