Abstract

Objective: To investigate the expression and significance of p16、Ki-67 in the CIN and cervix carcinoma. Methods: The immunohistochemical s-p was used to detect the expression of p16, Ki-67 in 14 cases cervix carcinoma and 77 cases CIN and 23 cases with normal cervical epithelia. Results: (1) Positive rates of p16 in the CIN and the cervix carcinoma were notably higher than in the normal cervical epithelia. The difference had significance of statistics (P0.01). Positive rates of Ki-67 in the CIN and the cervix carcinoma were notably higher than in the normal cervical epithelia. The difference had significance of statistics (P0.01). (2) There was a positive correlation between from the normal cervical epithelia to CIN to the cervix carcinoma and Ki-67 (P0.01). (3) There was not correlation in the p16、Ki-67 one another (P0.05). Conclusions: p16、Ki-67 may involve initiation of CIN, cervix carcinoma. p16 and Ki-67 could be used as markers for early diagnosis of cervix carcinoma. It could be helpful for increasing the ratio of earlier diagnosis in the fields of cervix carcinoma.
