Abstract
The genetic diversity among 30 wheat lines, which had been taken part in field experiments in Guizhou province and high altitude during the period of 2001-2003, was investigated by using SSR markers. The results showed that a total of 37 allelic loci were detected by a set of 12 primers. The number of alleles per primer pair ranged from 1 to 8, with an average of 3.08. Cluster analysis showed the genetic similarity (GS) among different materials was 0.197, varing from 0.048 to 0.346. The GS among 30 wheat lines was classified into to 5 types based on SSR markers. The results indicated that SSR markers play an important role in variety indentification and study of genetic diversity.
