Abstract

Objective To investigate the value of real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasound sonography(CEUS)in the diagnoses of benign and malignant kidney tumors. Methods 47 cases were collected from Department of B-Ultrasound,Yuanyang CountyPeople′s Hospital. All of them were initially diagnosed as renal tumors by routine ultrasound. The diagnoses were further made clear by puncture biopsy guided by the ultrasound and pathological examination for the tissue obtained from operation. All cases received the check of real-time gray-scale contrast-enhanced sonography with SonoVue.The dynamic pictures taken were quantitatively analyzed with the time-intensity curve analysis software. Results The malignant tumor demonstrated a fast enhancement and a rapid decline while benign tumor revealed a slow enhancement and a slow decline. The peak time of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography of malignant tumor was lower than that of benign lesions, the difference has statistical significance(P0.05).The intensity of the curve peak, the curve sharpness and the area under the curve of malignant tumor were different from those of benign tumors(P0.05).Conclusion Quantitative analysis for the dynamic changes with CEUS time-intensity curve is helpful for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the renal benign and malignant tumors.
