An Analysis of Confucius "Kindness" and " Ritual" Concepts

A great thinker,educator in ancient China,Confucius de dicated all his life to promoting the excellence in Chinese culture by earnestly learning from others.He witnessed the upheavals the social changes in his time.Cherishing the ideal exercising the virtue cultivation as a role model to serve the country,he advocated the concept of kindness and made a great effort to promote ritual training,doing actual extensive social investigation while training the ideal statesmen,thus,forming his unique theoretical ideas,political agenda and personality dual nature under the unique social environment.He is honored with the title the Sage,well-known for his scholarship and education pursuit,However,since the May 4th Movement,he has been subjected to criticism,a target the then slogan Down with and such criticism culminated in the cultural revolution.There have been very controversial comments on him.We need to therefore evaluate Confucius ideas from a historical and didactic perspective in a realistic manner and restore the core concepts his thinking as they were in order to promote the building the socialist harmonious society.
