Exploration and Practice of the Model of Local Higher Vocational Colleges Serving the New Rural Development——Based on Xiangyang Vocational and Technical College

The new rural construction is an important strategy of national development while serving the new rural development is a key function of local higher vocational colleges. Local higher vocational colleges should explore new rural development service model from the following aspects: run well the specialties related to agriculture; cultivate practical talents to serve the new rural development; carry out agricultural training to promote peasants' qualities; build a service base; establish research institutes to solve the technical problems;play an exemplary role to lead the regional vocational education to serve the new rural development.
