Abstract

The competition between Buddhism and Taoism is the main conflicts between the two religious parties.The ruler's religious policy and the exclusive nature of religion lead to the conflicts in the process of winning the support both from upper class and common followers.Taoist novels are major literature form in Tang Dynasty,which debased Buddhism.
