Abstract
After the introduction of Buddhism through the analogical interpretation approach,relying on Lao Tzu, Zhuang Zi and the Taoist classics,China achieved its goals and embarks on the road of independent development.In the Sui and Tang dynasties,the relationship between Buddhism and Taoism was more complex for various reasons,with both cooperation and struggle.At this point,Taoism theorists enhanced and improved the Taoist theory building by assimilation from Buddhism to Taoism.CHENG Xuan-ying and DU Guang-ting were the representatives,who not only promoted the Taoist Doctrine construction,but also made a great contribution for the Buddhism and Buddhism merge.
