Abstract
Interlanguage is an important issue in the field of SLA for the past twenty years.89 first-year non-English-major students from two natural classes in Shangluo University are selected as subjects in this empirical study and the linguistic data are collected from their English writing samples. With interlanguage theory, language transfer and markedness theory as theoretical basis, students' errors are analyzed from different dimensions.Resources of these errors are further discussed and pedagogical implications are proposed accordingly.Cultivating students' cross-cultural consciousness and adopting contrastive analysis to look into the nature of the two languages are the key therapies for students' interlanguage errors in their English writing.
