Abstract

Obiective:To optimize the extraction technique for total saponins from alfalfa by supersonic wave, the single factor tests and response surface method were used.Method:The factors including supersonic wave time, supersonic temperature, supersonic power, and the ratio of bittermelon to solvent, were studied. The best extraction method was found through the response surface method.Result:The reponse surface method with 4 factors and levels was adopted. The results showed that the optimun conditions were that supersonic wave time of 22 min, extracting temperature of 43℃,supersonic power of 403W,and the ratio of bittermelon to solvent of 1∶51(g/ml).Under such conditions the extraction rate of total saponins could be up to 4.53% at one-time extraction.
