Application of Geographic Information System to Heat-supply Network Management System

Abstract

The effect of geographic information system(GIS) technology in management of heat-supply network and the basic composition of GIS are introduced,the characteristics of GIS are compared with those of conventional management system,and the application prospect of GIS is discussed.The combination of GIS technology with automatic monitoring technology can rapidly update the database,realize the visualization management of geographic data and attribute data,optimize the operation management of heat-supply network and achieve the safe operation of heat-supply network.
