On the application of GIS in the information resource management of the urban water-supply network

Abstract

By the illustration of the developmental survey of GIS technology,the paper introduces the application situation of GIS technology in watersupply industry,systematically analyzes the basic functions and roles of GIS technology in urban water-supply network,and points out that the water-supply network system is a new application field of GIS and the application future will be more intensive.
