Abstract

Objective: To learn the clinical effect of the combination of misoprostol and lidocaine in high risk pregnancy induced abortion surgery. Methods: 360 patients who were in their first pregnancy or scar uterus were selected and then were divided randomly into the experiment group and the control group. The experiment group was deposited misoprostol(0.4 mg) in the posterior vaginal fornix two hours before the surgery, but not in the control group, and both of them were given lidocaine(2% 5ml) which was injected in the cervix two minutes before the operation. Results: Significance was found in pain, cervical dilatation(the experiment group the control) and operation time, blooding(the experiment group the control). There was no manual abortion syndrome in the experiment group which is significantly different from the control. Conclusion: Combination of misoprostol and lidocaine in induced abortion surgery is obvious in pain relief and soften and dilatation of cervix, and in reducing risk and complications, and is easy to applicate and to accept in price. It is worth using widely in clinical practice.
