Enlightenments From the Development of the Japan’s Sports After Tokyo Olympic Games——Giving consideration to the sports policy after 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

Based on a comprehensive investigation of the Japan's postwar sports policy and development, this study puts emphasis on the relations between the Japan sports policy and its development after the Tokyo Olympic Games, and probes into the available policy to develop China sports after the Beijing Olympic Games. The development of Japan sports after the Tokyo Olympic Games indicates that the policy of both popularization and enhancement should be taken account instead of stressing one after holding Olympic Games for those countries where sport is an exotic culture. Considering comprehensive development of society and sports, China should adopt the sports policy of putting emphasis on popularization and harmonizing the development of all kinds of sports.
