Abstract
Objective To explore surgical techniques of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation in traumatic microcoria cataract. Methods Phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation was performed on 30 cases (32 eyes) of traumatic microcoria cataract through a pupil of 4-5mm in diameter using iris hook, then CCC and modified stopping and chopping technique to emulsify the nucleus. Results In all eyes, vision improved to different degrees and a physiological round or near-round pupil was acquired. No posterior capsular rupture and corneal decompensation. Conclusion Traumatic microcoria cataract can achieved better clinical effects by using reasonable surgical techniques and instruments.
