Abstract

Objective To study surgical technique of traumatic cataract phacoemulsification or combining intraocular lens implantation,to summarize traumatic cataract intraoperative and postoperative complications and points for attention. Methods 44 eyes of 44 cases traumatic cataracts were operated phacoemulsification extraction,37 cases were operated phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation. Results 5 months~3 years after operation, the naked visions and corrected visions≥0 5 were 38.8% and 52.8% respectively. The major complications of this group were corneal oedema, membraniform effusion, pupillary restriction, intraocular lens displacement, after cataract and pupillary synechia ect. Conclusion The traumatic cataracts can be safely and effectively operated with phacoemulsification and the most can be combined intraoculer lens implantation
