Abstract
The male sterile two-purpose line 01-3AB of celery was used as a source of male sterility, the gene of recessive male sterility was transferred to the other three inbred lines as target parents,in accordance with the inheritance of the male sterility and concerned horticultural characters,by crossing, selfing, backcrossing and sibling. The results showed that three new two-purpose line bred from 01-3AB had complete male sterility, normal ability to seed, good horticultural characters similar to their male parents.
