Abstract
The sterile degree, genetic characteristic and stability of 01-3A male sterile celery were studied. It was found that under the microscope, 01-3A was a completely male sterile type without vigor pollens in its anther. The fertility in progenies of test cross, backcross, selfcross and reciprocal cross between 01-3A and other lines indicated that the male sterility was controlled by a pair of nuclear recessive gene, without effects of multiple alleles, epistatic gene and cytoplasm. The male sterility was stable in different temperature and seasons.
