Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of the complex model with liver fibrosis and renal injury in rats induced by DMN and to provide experimental data for the theoryliver and kidney sharing the same origin. Methods:Rats were randomized into normal group and DMN model group.Serum ALT、 AST、BUN、Scr、LN、HA and Ⅳ-C were detected, the liver and kidney specimens were taken and prepared for light microscopic examination, the expression of α-SMA and TGF-β1 in the liver and kidney tissue were measured by immunohistochemistry method. Results:As compared with that in control group, the serum parameters did have significant differences in the model group, pathological changes were found the hepatic and renal collagen deposition increased and fibrosis developed, the expression of α-SMA and TGF-β1 were up-regulated obviously. Conclusion:DMN can induce liver fibrosis besides renal fibrosis,it showed that liver and kidney may had a correlation with fibrosis, which may offer the bioactive constituents ofliver and kidney sharing the same origin.
