Relevance theory and translation equivalence

This article first elaborates the relationship between the Relevance Theory and translation.Translation is the inference process involving the cerebrum mechanism.It is the utterance communicative behavior.The translation should be Ternary Relation: the author,the translator and the reader of translation.The success of communication depends on the point that whether the author's intention was known by the reader or not.Then on the Relevance Theory,this article interprets the essence of translation inference communication,analyzes the translation equivalent,and further verifies the explanation force of the Relevance Theory to the translation ontology and the methodology.
