Abstract
Palmitate ethyl ester was synthesized from palmitic acid and ethyl alcohol with ultrafine solid superacid SO42-/ZrO2 as catalyst.Ultrafine solid super acid SO42-/ZrO2 was characterized by means of XRD,SEM,IR.The effects of molar ratio of palmitic acid to ethyl alcohol, catalyst dosage, and reaction time on the conversion of palmitic acid were discussed.Experimental results showed that ultrafine solid superacid SO42-/ZrO2 was an excellent catalyst and the proper reaction conditions are as follows:,reaction time 3h,the dosage of catalyst 0.8g,the molar ratio of palmitic acid to ethyl alcohol 1∶4.The yield of the esterification can reach 70.3%.
