Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of water-soluble vitamins in the treament of ribavirin on hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD). Methods 115 cases with HFMD were selected and divided into two groups randomly. 55 cases in the control group were treated with antifebrile, fluid injection and ribavirin. 60 cases in the treatment group were treated withboth ribavirin and water-soluble vitamin injection respectively. The clinical effect and the time of temperature recovery, rash disappearance and side effects were observed between the two groups. Results The total effective rate was 95.00% in the treatment group, significantly higher than 83.64% in the control group (P 0.05). The time of cure, temperature recovery and rash disappearance was significantly shorter than that in the control group (P 0.05). The adverse reactions was not found in both groups. Conclusions Water-soluble vitamins can strengthen ribavirin therapy effect on HFMD, shorten treatment course with high safety.
