Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of Xiyanping and ribavirin in treatment of hand-foot-mouth disease(HFMD). Methods Selected pediatric patients with HFMD from January 2010 to January 2013 in our hospital pediatric hospitalization as the observed object according to the order of admission, they were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, each of 30 patients, two groups were given conventional rehydration symptomatic treatment, control group vein dropped with ribavirin injection(10~15) mg/(kg·d) joined in 10% of the glucose or saline, treated for 3 to 5 days. Treatment group also vein dropped with Xiyanping injection(0.2-0.4) mL/(kg·d) joined in 10% of the glucose or saline infusion, treated for 3 to 5 days. The fever clearance time and rash subsided time, effect after treatment in two groups were compared. Results The fever clearance time and rash subsided time in treatment group were significantly shorter than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05). No effective of treatment group and was 1 case, the total effective rate was 96.7%, the total effective rate of the control group was 80.0%, the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05). The effect of the treatment group was better than the control group by rank test(P 0.05). Conclusion Xiyanping combined with ribavirin in treatment of children with HFMD can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and the efficacy of antiviral is better comparing to single application, it is worthy being generalized and application.
