Investigation of combined therapy of Chinese and Western medicine on perimenopausal women headaches

Objective To observe the effect of combined therapy of Chinese and Western medicine on perimenopausal women headaches. Methods 68 women of perimenopausal headaches were randomly divided into two groups. 34 cases in treatment group were treated by combination of Xiaoxuan Jieyu Anshen decoction and Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsules. 34 women of perimenopausal headaches in control group were treated only by Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsules. The changes of E2,FSH and LH in serum and effect before and after treatment were observed. Results The effective rate in treatment group was higher than that in control group( P 0. 05). The levels of E2in serum after treatment were increased as compared with those before treatment in two groups( P 0. 05). The levels of FSH and LH in serum after treatment were decreased( P 0. 05). There were significant differences between two groups on the levels of E2,FSH and LH after treatment( P 0. 05). Conclusion Xiaoxuan Jieyu Anshen decoction combined with Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsules has definite effect on the treatment of perimenopausal women headaches,it is worthy of clinical application.
