Abstract
Objective To investigate the current situation of serum triglyceride,to analyze its risk factors in adolescents aged 16-18 years and to provide evidence for the early prevention against metabolism syndrome. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 2 395 adolescents aged 16-18 years.Measurements included height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose(FPG),serum triglyceride(TG) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C).Results The 95th percentile for TG was 1.75 mmolL.The positive rate of hypertriglyceridemia was 5.8%.The positive rate of boys and girls was 6.9% and 4.7% respectively(χ2=5.160,P0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the risk factors of serum triglyceride of boys were HDL-C(β=-0.511,P0.01)and waist circumference(β=0.009,P0.01),the factors of girls were HDL-C(β=-0.426,P0.01) and waistheight ratio(β=1.77,P0.01).Conclusion The positive rate of hypertriglyceridemia is high in adolescents.Central obesity and low HDL-C are the main risk factors to adolescent hypertriglyceridemia.
