Abstract
The experiment was conducted to study the effects of different dosage forms of Lactobacillus preparation on growth performance and caecal microflora in broiler chickens. A total of 240 one-day-age young broiler chickens were randomly assigned to 4 groups with 5 replications per group,12 broilers per replication. Ⅰ group for Lactobacillus solid preparation group (basal diets+0.2% Lactobacillus solid preparation); Ⅱ group for Lactobacillus liquid preparation group (basal diets+Lactobacillus liquid preparation); Ⅲ group for control group (basal diets); Ⅳ group for antibiotic group (basal diets+0.01%flavomycin). The experiment lasted 28 days. The results showed that supplementation of Lactobacillus preparation significantly increased daily weight gain and feed conversion ratio compared with control group (P0.05) and the effect of liquid preparation was better than that solid of form. Additionally, supplementation of Lactobacillus liquid preparation significantly increased Lactobacillus amount and effectively inhibited E.coli in cecum compared with antibiotic group (P0.05).
