Literature Analysis of 13 Cases of Anaphylactic Shock Induced by Alprostadil

OBJECTIVE:To explore the regularity and characteristics of anaphylactic shock induced by alprostadil,and to provide reference for rational drug use in the clinic. METHODS:Literatures about anaphylactic shock induced by alprostadil published on Chinese medical journals during Jan. 1979-Jul. 2013 were retrieved from relevant database,and 13 cases of ADR were analyzed statistically. RESULTS:13 cases of anaphylactic shock were all induced by intravenous route of administration;5 cases occurred within 10 min;most of clinical manifestations were cardiovascular system and respiratory system injury. There were 2 death cases,and 11 cases returned to normal after treatment. CONCLUSIONS:There are many correlated factors of anaphylactic shock induced by alprostadil,including physical factor,physician and patient factor,pharmaceutical preparation factor,etc. Great importance should be attached to severe ADR monitoring.
