Abstract

Water balance of Liaohe River,Hunhe River and Taizihe River was studied by Liaoning Bureau of Hydrology and Water Resources Investigation in the irrigation periods since 2004.The variation of water supply,water use,water losses,and water quality was analyzed.The field data from Apr.28 to Jun.2 in 2004 showed that water incoming,water supply,water use,and water losses were almost in equilibrium.The water transfer from reservoirs in irrigation periods has great effects on river pollutant sluicing,water purification,salt control in river mouth area,and improvement of ecological environment.
