Abstract
Objective To explore the correlation between procalcitonin(PCT),C-reactive protein(CRP)and white blood cells(WBC)in patients with lower respiratory tract infection.Methods A total of 120patients with lower respiratory tract infection were enrolled and detected for WBC,percentage of neutrophil(NEUT%),PCT and CRP.Results In patients with different levels of PCT,the differences of CRP,WBC and NEUT% were significant(P0.05).In patients with different levels of CRP,the proportion of patients with different levels of PCT was with statistical difference(P0.05).Conclusion There could be fine relationship between PCT,CRP and WBC in patients with lower respiratory tract infection.Combined analysis of theses three indicators might be with more obvious significance for the early diagnosis of lower respiratory tract infection.
