Abstract

Objective The purpose is to determine the content of 5-hydroxyl-7-(4-hydroxyl-3-methoxyphenyl)-1-pheny-3-heptanone from Alpinia officinarum Hance. Methods The HPLC was used to determine the content of 5-hydroxyl-7-(4-hydroxyl-3-methoxyphenyl)-1-pheny-3-heptanone from Alpinia officinarum Hance, the analysis was carried out on Elite Hypersil ODS 25 μm(4.6mm×250mm),the mobile phase was Acetonitrile-0.1%H3PO4(40:60),flow-rate 1.0ml/min and wavelength was 210nm,the colum temperature was 30℃.Results The linear range of 5-hydroxyl-7-(4-hydroxyl-3-methoxyphenyl)-1-pheny-3-heptanone was 0.45~3.6 μg and correlation(r) was 0.999 93,recovery was 99.62% and RSD was 1.53%.Conclusion The method is simple and presents a good linear relationship,so it can be used to determine the content of 5-hydroxyl-7-(4-hydroxyl-3-methoxyphenyl)-1-pheny-3-heptanone from Alpinia officinarum Hance.
