Abstract
ObjectiveTo observe ambulatory blood pressure changes of essential hypertension patients treated with benazepril hydrochloride(lotension).MethodSeventy-two cases with essential hypertension were treated with lotensin(5~20 mg/day) for 3 weeks, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring was conducted before and after treatment.ResultsTreatment with lotension resulted in a decrease in T∶P ratio, both systolic pressure and diastolic pressure respectively 50%.Lotension didn′t influence the circadian rhythm, and the incidence of adverse effect was low.ConclusionLotension can steadily control 24h blood pressure, result in significant BP reductions and efficiently protect the functions of heart, brain and kidney.
