Abstract

Three different genetype spring wheats were treated with different concentrations of NaCl and iso osmotic PEG solutions; The leaf water content, stress susceptibility index, the content of proline, soluble sugar, Na\++ and K\++ of leaf and root were determined in 7 days after treatment.The results showed that under iso osmotic condition, the decline of leaf water content, the increase of salt stress susceptibility index, the content of proline, soluble sugar, Na\++ and K\++ under salt stress were larger than those under iso osmotic PEG stress. J3377 which had both more salt tolerance and more drought tolerance than other varieties under drought and salt stress was a improved variety; while hongmangmai which had less drought and salt tolerance than other varieties was a local variety.\;
