Abstract
Objective:To explore the association between the inflammatory marker C-reactive protein(CRP)and acute coronarterial syndrome(ACS). Methods:We examined the level of CRP of 58 cases with coronary heart disease(14 cases with acute myocardial infarction, 21 cases with unstable angina and 23 cases stable angina)and 30 cases without coronary heart disease by immunodiffusion and turbidimetry method. Results:The serum CRP in acute myocardial infarction group (16.14±1.82 )mg/l and unstable angina group (12.25±3.82 )mg/l is significantly higher than stable angina group (4.73±3.63 )mg/l and no coronary heart disease (2.53±1.26)mg/l(P0.01)and ACS with heart accident and its CRP concentration are notably higher than the same group without complications(P0 05). Conclusion: Serum CRP concentration in Patients with ACS is significantly higher and serum CRP concentration is significantly associated with severity clinical process of ACS, thus it can be as an index of evaluating prognosis of ACS.
