The clinical values of serum human epididymis secretory protein 4 in the diagnosis of endometrial cancer

Objective To investigate the clinical values of serum human epididymis secretory protein4(HE4) expression in the diagnosis of endometrial cancer.Methods The level of serum HE4 was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELiSA) in tIle serum specimens of 23 cases in endometrial cancer group,47 cases in benign uterine tumor and 30 women in healthy group.The diagnosis power of serum HE4 in in the diagnosis of endometrial cancer evaluated by receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve.Results Compared with uterine benign tumor group and healthy control group,the serum HE4 median level endometrial cancer group was significantly higher than the formers(all P 0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that serum HE4 median expression level in 144.8pmol/L was the best threshold value for the diagnosis of endometrial cancer,the maximum Youden index was 0.657,the area under the curve was 0.827,the sensitivity and specificity were 73.1 and 93.4.Conclusion Serum HE4 expression level is an effective diagnostic tool with higher sensitivity and specificity for endometrial cancer,is helpful for early diagnosis of uterine benign and malignant tumors.
