Clinical observation of salvia miltiorrhiza and ligustrazine injection solution in the treatment of cerebral thrombosis

Objective To analyze the effect of salvia miltiorrhiza and ligustrazine injection solution in the treatment of patients with cerebral thrombosis/vertebrobasilar ischemia.Methods The clinical data of 60 patients with cerebral thrombosis/vertebrobasilar ischemia treated in our hospital from April 2008 to October 2009 were retrospectively analyzed.The cases were randomly divided into treatment group(32 cases) treated with salvia miltiorrhiza and ligustrazine injection solution and control group(28 cases) treated with Xuesaitong.Results Obvious relief of symptoms reached 90.6% in treatment group while it was only 78.6% in control group indicating salvia miltiorrhiza and ligustrazine injection solution can effectively improve the flow velocity of vertebral artery and basilar artery.Conclusion Salvia miltiorrhiza and ligustrazine injection solution is effective for the treatment of vertebrobasilar ischemia.
