Abstract

Objective:To observe effect of intravenous drip of metoprolol at large dosage on rescuing acute aortic dissection. Methods:Randomly divided 23 cases with acute aortic dissection into A and B groups.Treated patients in group A with metoprolol, but no metoprolol in group B.Compared the change of blood pressure and heart rate before and after therapy in two groups. Results:There was no statistic significant change of blood pressure and heart rate in both groups(P0.05).Comparing with group B,systolic pressure, diastolic pressure and rate in group A were improved after treatment, the hospitalization time shortened obviously and the mortality decreased markedly. Conclusion:Intravenous drip of metoprolol at large dosage is effective and safe in rescuing acute aortic dissection.
