Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effecacy of Metoprolol combined with Nicardipine to control blood pressure and heart rate in acute aortic dissection patients. Methods A total of 34 patients with aortic dissection-related hypertention received intravenous metoprolol and nicardipine injection. We observed blood pressure and heart rate at each time point after treatment, the number of patients with which reached treatment target value was recorded. Results Blood pressure and heart rate began to decrease significantly 10 min after administration.SBP,DBP and heart rate all had a significant decrease after administration at each time poin(P0.05).The rate that reached treatment goal was 85.3% 30 min later and 94.1% 60 min later.Liver and kidney function and urine volume of the patients didn′t have obvious changes.Blush appeared in one case, hypotension one case, and sinus bradycardia two cases, all having their blood pressure and heart rate returned to the normal after administrating speed being slowed down. Conclusion Intravenous Metoprolol plus Nicardipine can quickly, effectively and safely control blood pressure and heart rate in acute aortic dissection patients.
