Rising of the Modern Physical Education at School in China (1901-1911)

During the late Qing Dynasty, in the context of spreading the New Policy, militarism and new education ideology, the varieties of schools in the different level and various categories embarked the physical education at school which never appeared in the history of Chinese education, and conducted a certain work related to the teachers' training. Although the situations are not so stable in the practical level, the significance of the creation can be seen as the milestone for the development of PE in the context of China, which had great influence for the following development of sports in China.
