Study of Periodontal Implication With Three Different Types of Retainers

Objective To evaluate the periodontal implication with three types retaiers.Methods thirty cases were divided Tnto three groups,and three types of retainers were used for each group at random A follow-up per iodontal examination was carride out in one week,one month,three months and six months later,respectively.The periodontal condition was scored according to three parameters:GI,PI,CI,Result In the group with Hawley retainer,the parameters GI,PI,CI Increased,but showed no statistic difference.The pqrameter GI of the group with thermoplastic retainer was significant after using the retiner.The group with bonaded retainer was more significant In pqrameters GI,PI,CI,especially the parameter CI.Conclusion Any types of retainers can affect the effect on periodontal health.
