Treatment Effects of MEAW with Straight Wire Appliance In Open Bite

Objective The objective of this study is evaluating the effect in open bite treated with multiloop edgewise arch wire and straightwire appliance and to analyse its therapeutic effects and principles.Methods With straight wire appliance,13 openbite cases were treated using Multiloop edgewise arch wire,and the change of jaws,overbite and overjet were observed by cephalometry.Results Satisfactory results have been achieved in all cases.Conclusion The above mentioned technique could be a reliable way to treat open bite patient and it worth to general used in clinic orthopaedic treatment。
