Abstract

Objective To evaluate the difference of anchorage between straight wire appliance and standard edgewise appliance for extraction treatment.Methods 60 patients with Angle class I malocclusion and crowding were divided into two groups and treated with MBT appliance and standard edgewise appliance respectively.Results MBT appliance is better to control the mesial inclination of molars,the vertical movement and torque of anteriors.Conclusion MBT mechanics is an effective and simple technique.
