Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of the narrow-band ultraviolet B(NB-UVB)radiation in the treatment of vitiligo. Methods:One hundred and forty-two patients with vitiligo were treated by a NB-UVB(311 nm)which was performed three times per week, and continued totally for 30 times.Follow-ups were scheduled on 3 and 6 months after the treatment. The therapeutic effect and safety were evaluated. Results:Among the patients, the clinical efficacy was as follows:fully recovery in 26(18.31%)cases,significant improvement in 78(54.93%)cases,moderate improvement in 30(21.13%)cases.The total response rate was 73.24%.Conclusion:The clinical data demonstrate that the treatment of NB-UVB is a safe, effective and convenient method for vitiligo.
