Detection of Some Blood Physiological and Biochemical Parameters in Diannan Miniature Pigs

Objective To determine and compare the blood physiological and biochemical parameters of Diannan miniature pigs aged 3～6 and 8～12 months old in closed colony.Method Eighteen physiological parameters and thirty biochemical parameters in Diannan mini-pigs were measured and the differences between both sexes,between two age groups were analyzed.Results In the biochemical and physiological indexes,there were no significant differences in 3～6 months old pigs between male and female.In the biochemical indexes,there were significant difference in HGB,RBC,HCT,MONO% and MONO,and in the blood physiological indexes,there were significant difference in ALT,TBA,CHO,TG,LDL-C,APOB and CL between male and female in 8~12 months old pigs.In the biochemical indexes,there were seven Parameters(WBC,PLT,MPV,LY,MCHC,NEUT% and NEUT) had statistical difference between two age groups(P0.05).In the blood physiological indexes,there were six parameters(ALB,UREA,HDL-C,GLU,APOA and FE) had statistical difference between two age groups(P0.05).Conclusions Diannan miniature pigs can be raised to be laboratory animal with distinctive characteristics.
