Treatment Experience of Bushen Jianpi and Huoxue Huayu Recipe of Chronic Aplastic Anemia with Kidney-yin Deficient Syndrome

Objective: To explore the clinical effect of Bushen Jianpi and Huoxue Huayu recipe of chronic aplastic anemia with kidney-yin deficiency syndrome.Methods:34 cases of chronic aplastic anemia with kidney-yin deficiency syndrome were randomly divided into 2 groups,17 patients in the control group were applied with testosterone 120~160 mg/d and,while for the other 17 cases,the same dose stanozolol and securinine combined with Bushen Jianpi and Huoxue Huayu recipe were given and drugs were modified depending on syndrome differentiation.Each course of treatment lasted 3 months.Both of the two groups were treated for 2 courses,rechecking the hemogram and marrow hematopoietic cells regularly,monitoring the liver and kidney function,and comparing the differences of effective rate between the two groups.Results: After two courses of treatment,the total effectiveness rate of observing group(100%) was significantly higher than that of the control one(68.75%).Meanwhile,the observing group was superior to the control group in terms of hemoglobin concentration,white cell count,platelet count,reticulocyte count and proportion of bone marrow proliferation active cases.All the difference of data between the 2 groups showed significant statistical difference(P0.01~0.05).Conclusions: Combining western medicine with Bushen Jianpi and Huoxue Huayu recipe in the treatment of chronic aplastic anemia with kidney-yin deficiency syndrome has better efficacy and is worthy of clinical application.
