Clinical Study of Bushen Therapy Treating Chronic Aplastic Anemia

Objective: The clinical efficacy of Bushen therapy of chronic aplastic anemia was observed. Method: 69 patients in outpatient and inpatient of The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were collected during January 2007-January 2012. Patients were divided into kidney Yang deficiency group (23 cases),kidney Yin deficiency group (19 cases),kidney Yang-Yin deficiency group (27 cases),and randomly selected and divided into traditional Chinese medicine treatment groups and Western medicine treatment groups,including Chinese medicine treatment group of 36 patients in which the kidney Yang deficiency group (12 cases),kidney Yin deficiency group (10 case),kidney Yang-Yin deficiency group (14 cases); the WM group of 33 cases in which kidney Yang deficiency group (11 cases),kidney Yin deficiency group (9 cases),kidney Yang-Yin deficiency group (13 cases). For a course of three months,through the observation of patients after two courses of treatment,TCM climate changes in the peripheral blood and bone marrow were observed. Results: ①Chinese medicine group treatment of chronic aplastic anemia in improving TCM syndrome compared with Western medicine group had a significant difference (P 0. 05). ②TCM group's hemoglobin,white blood cell count,platelet count and reticulocytes before and after treatment had different levels of elevation. kidney Yang deficiency group of TCM group's peripheral blood cell growth was better than that of Western medicine group after treatment with significant difference (P 0. 05). ③TCM group treatment had lighter side effects than Western group. Conclusion: Bushen therapy can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of chronic aplastic anemia,improve clinical outcomes and reduce drug side effects,providing better treatment options for integrative treatment of chronic aplastic anemia.
