Clinical Evaluation of Analgestic Effect of Sancai Needling at Dachangshu Treating Sciatica

Objective:Comparing the efficacy of the Sancai acupuncture with the conventional acupuncture in the treatment of sciatica,to study the role and treatment of specific pain mechanism and evaluate its effect,revealing the Sancai acupuncture treatment of sciatica action principle.Methods:Randomized block method,89 cases of blood stasis in patients with sciatica as the research object,from Shanxi Datong University Hospital and acupuncture departments of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province.They are for the conventional group and the Ashi point group as the control group.Collection of data before and after treatment in each group was completed simplified Mc-Gill Pain Questionnaire total score positive word,pain threshold and plasma β-endorphin and P substances.Results:Efficacy in the treatment of sciatica,the Sancai acupuncture was significantly superior to conventional treatment of sciatica and Ashi point.It can significantly increase the pain threshold and plasma β-endorphin content.Conclusion:The Sancai acupuncture treatment of sciatica has a good analgesic effect.
