Abstract

Objective To improve the comparability for results of activated partial tromboplastin time (aPTT) and thrombin time (TT) from two difference blood coagulation detection systems. Methods Fresh plasma were measured by a calibrated reference ACL-Advance blood coagulation analyzer. Two plasma with 30 seconds and 12.5 seconds in aPTT and TT measurement were selected as standardized samples to adjust the results of detection by the Sysmex CA-50 blood coagulation analyzer. The results were compared in low, middle and high level of aPTT and TT measurement from two analyzers respectively. Results There was no significant difference in results of low, middle and high level of aPTT and TT measurement between two adjus- ted blood coagulation analyzers (P>0.05).Excellent correlation was found between these two analyzers (r(?) 0.98).Conclusion Comparability can be improved between two blood coagulation detection systems by using the same reagent and the standardized fresh plasma measured previously by a calibrated reference analy- zer to adjust another one.
