Abstract
Not only in China but also Japan,the contents about history of mathematics were included in high school mathematics curriculum in new curriculum reform.During the process of integration of history of mathematics and contents of mathematics teaching,humanistic value was paid more attention in China,and helping students to understand the forming process of mathematics concepts and theorems was attached more importance in Japan.History of mathematics was infiltrated in both compulsory and optional subjects in China,but in Japan,it was only put in Mathematics Elements.There were similarities and differences on choosing and using history of mathematics in two countries.
