Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of supportive psychotherapy and cognitive therapy on anxiety and depression of post-stroke patients.Methods 58 post-stroke patients with anxiety and depression were randomly divided into intervention group(n=29) and control group(n=29).Both groups received system medication treatment and regular rehabilitation nursing,the intervention group was given supportive psychotherapy and cognitive therapy additionally.The self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and the Hamition depression scale(HAMD) were used to assess the improvement of depressive symptoms.Results After 2 weeks treatment,the SAS scores in the intervention group were lower than that in control group,and the improvement of depressive symptoms were better than that in control group.Conclusion Psychological intervention can effectively reduce depression and anxiety of post-stroke patients,and improve the quality of life of post-stroke patients.
